SIAC 2024

The Singapore International Art Contest (SIAC) is an annual art competition opens to all artists aged 4 and above around the world.

Contest Entry Guidelines

Theme: Building Green Homeland

Creating and building your own “world” that is environmental, peaceful and full of love through your imagination and creation.

The 5th SIAC 2024 will focus on the theme of green environmental protection and encourage participating young artists to develop their imagination and creativity, describe the creation of their mind of the green homeland.

Timeline

Registration and Submission:

  • 1 Jan 2024, 9am - 29 Feb 2024, 8:59pm

Submission Deadline:

  • 29 Feb 2024, 9pm

Judging Period:

  • 1 March - 31 March  2024

Date of Announcement for Final Result

  • 31 March 2024​ at 6pm.

Collection & Dispatch of Award

  • April - May 2024

Categories

Group A: Pre-Schooler

  • 4 to 6 Years Old

Group B: Primary 1-3

  • 7 to 9 Years Old

Group C: Primary 4-6

  • 10 to 12 Years Old

Group D: Youth

Artwork Requirements

  • Participants are required to submit an original artwork of A3 Size: 30cm (height/length) only if he/she is selected for finals and not more than 43cm (height/length).

  • Participants may use any art mediums - pencil, colour pencil, graphite, charcoal, pen, markers, acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolour paint, poster paint, Chinese ink, etc.

  • Participants may combine and use multiple mediums.

  • The artwork should be created on a piece of paper/watercolour paper, rice paper.

  • The artwork should be an original work produced by the participant for this art competition. The artwork should be produced from January 2024.

  • The participant may freely express their artistic creativity in response to the art competition. The created artwork should adhere to the theme of the art competition and submissions which are inappropriate to the theme will not be considered.

  • The artwork should be an original work and not a copy from an existing photograph or artwork. Hence, a participant may be forfeited if the artwork is found to be a direct reproduction of an existing photograph or artwork.

Judging & Grading Percentage

The jury panel compromise experienced senior artists that will judge according to the following criteria:

1. Skills: 12%

2. Creativity: 12%

3. Innovative: 12%

4. Aesthetic of Work: 12%

5. Proportion of Artwork: 12%

6. Perspective: 10%

7. Cleanliness: 10%

8. Colour Combination: 10%

9. Lines: 10%

Awards

The following awards will be given to each age category:

  • Gold Award: 1 

  • Silver Award: 2 

  • Bronze Award: 3 

  • Rising Young Artist Award: 10 

  • Most Creative Award: 10

  • Commendation Award: 40

*Each participant will receive a digital participating certificate.

*All participating organisations will be presented with certificate.

*All gold, silver and bronze award winners will receive a certificate of award and a trophy.

*All other award winners will receive a certificate of award and a Medal.

Registration Fee

*AAS Little Artists Club Member: SGD $18

Non-Member: SGD $28 (NOT AAS Member)

International participants (Out of Singapore) : USD $20

Payment

Please use scan & pay or bank transfer to make payment. The confirmation email will be sent you once we received the payment.
